Manson was sentenced to life in prison for his role in the slayings of actress Sharon Tate and eight others back in 1969.
INSIDE EDITION spoke to Ward and other cast members, high in the Hollywood Hills, not far from where some the horrific slayings took place.
"It is horrifying and it is all real. It is just so crazy that it is all so real," he said.
Manson follower Leslie Van Houten is played by Greer Grammer, Kelsey Grammer's daughter.
"From what I know of Leslie ... she is someone who feels a lot of remorse. She wants to distance herself as much as she possibly can, but the crime is so notorious it is just not going to happen," the actress said.
