In the room, police found two Capuchin monkeys in crates, a man in need of medical attention and a note. Police did not reveal what the note said.

However, the cause of death was not immediately clear and the medical examiner will soon conduct a full autopsy, a process that will take some time, police said.

Meanwhile, police said they would question the man, whose name was not released.
The Capuchin monkeys, a species not uncommon in the pet trade, were found in good condition, officials said.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is now taking care of the primates.
