O.J. Simpson Won't Be Watching Miniseries About His Murder Trial From Prison

Simpson's best friend told INSIDE EDITION about his life behind bars.

O.J. Simpson won't be watching the miniseries about his murder trial, INSIDE EDITION has learned.

Simpson's best friend, Tom Scotto, says Simpson was hoping to watch the FX miniseries, American Crime Story: The People Vs. O.J. Simpson from prison in Nevada.

"I'm sure he'll watch it if they put the channel on," Scotto said.

But INSIDE EDITION has learned that the prison where Simpson is locked up for kidnapping and robbery does not get the channel.

Scotto shared details of The Juice's life behind bars, revealing that he is suffering from depression and piling on weight, now tipping the scales at 300 pounds.

“He's very, very heavy,” Scotto said. “He's gained a lot of weight, he eats commissary food and it's all junk food.”

Simpson, who was sentenced to 14 years behind bars, is up for parole in 2017.

One person who will be watching the show is Kato Kaelin, whose life was turned upside down by the trial. He became known as the freeloading surfer who was crashing at Simpson’s house at the time of Nicole Brown's murder in 1994.

Kaelin told INSIDE EDITION that he's seen the first two episodes of the series - and he's not impressed.

“I look like I’m gonna be portrayed as the ditzy house guest,” he said. “They put me in it too much. I look like I’m O.J.’s good buddy. I’m not, I was Nicole’s friend. They've got me in scenes and I wasn't there.”

He even admitted: “Even I’m sick of Kato!”

These days he hosts a show called Sports Haters on the Dish network. He even has a clothing line called Slacker Wear.

“The new generation are gonna view this as a documentary,” he said. “It's the furthest thing from a documentary.”

The miniseries premieres on what would have been O.J. and Nicole Brown Simpson's 31st wedding anniversary. They were married on February 2, 1985.
