Mexican authorities have ordered actress Kate del Castillo to answer questions about her relationship with drug lord Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman.
Mexican authorites have ordered actress Kate del Castillo to be located and brought in for questioning about her relations with drug lord Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman, officials said Thursday.
The celebrity arranged a controversial meeting between the kingpin and actor Sean Penn while Guman was on the run after escaping a maximum-security prison in Mexico.

Del Castillo is in Los Angeles and would be willing to speak with Mexican authorities "If we receive proper information and credentials," said her high-profile attorney, Harland Braun.
"She'll talk to them. She's not hiding anything." "There's no problem locating her. ... Everyone knows she has lawyers, publicists, agents," Braun told The Associated Press.
Two Mexican security officials told the wire service that federal prosecutors had issued the order because del Castillo, a soap opera and movie actress, didn't come forward to give a statement.
She has not been charged with any wrongdoing.
The Mexican order carries no power outside the country, the AP said.

Del Castillo is a naturalized U.S. citized. She has filed a court petition to obtain an injunction against being arrested by Mexican authorities investigating her ties to Guzman.
The drug czar, who heads the deadly Sinaloa Cartel, is wanted in the United States and in Mexico on murder and drug trafficking charges. He is believed to be responsible for more than 34,000 deaths, the wire service reported.
He is currently in custody at the same prison he escaped from last year. Mexican authorities have said he will be extradited to the U.S. to stand trial.
Del Castillo arranged an October meeting between herself, Penn and the cartel leader, who appeared smitten by del Castillo and in the dark about who the actor was, according to social media messages from Guzman published by a Mexican newspaper.
Penn wrote an article for Rolling Stone magazine about his meeting with the fugitive, who was then the world's most-wanted drug lord. It was published online the day after Guzman was captured after a shoot-out with Mexican marines in early January.
