Coldplay spoke ahead of their Super Bowl halftime performance and promised the 'right guests' for the show.
The halftime show at Super Bowl 50 is guaranteed to be full of surprises, according to Coldplay singer Chris Martin.
Coldplay, who will be headlining the show, said at a press conference Thursday that “we called the right guests, so we know that we have great people joining us."
Many have speculated that those ‘right guests’ could be the band’s famous friends like Beyoncé or Bruno Mars.
In the past, the band has brought out friends like Rihanna and Jay Z to perform with them.
The band also spoke of the challenges they will face to deliver a dynamic show since their shows are more stripped down than previous Superbowl headliners.
Drummer Will Champion said: “You know, we can’t compete in terms of amazing dance routines and all of that, so we have to try and do what comes naturally to us, which is to try and provide a bit of fun and a great atmosphere for people to come and be together and be communal and enjoy the general experience."
Last year, Katy Perry’s performance became an internet sensation thanks to a costumed dancer known as “Left Shark” who foiled the dance routine.

Martin joked about the incident during the conference: “Everything will shut down for two minutes while we replace whichever shark has messed up. There’s a delay on the timing so no viewer at home will have any shark-based trauma."
