She morphed into the “Fame” singer’s many personas during her medley, which included “Rebel, Rebel,” “Let’s Dance,” “Suffragette City” and “Space Oddity.”
Joined on stage by longtime Bowie collaborator and Chic frontman, Nile Rodgers, Gaga gave what Rolling Stone hailed an “astonishing David Bowie Grammy tribute.”
Bowie’s son, Duncan Jones, sent out a cryptic tweet following the performance.

Another of the most talked about performances came from rapper Kendrick Lamar.
After walking on stage in chains and a prison uniform, he literally set the stage on fire. He performed his singles “The Blacker the Berry,” “Alright” and a brand new song “Untitled 3.”
His powerful gig was seen as a tribute to the Black Lives Matter movement.
Lamar was up for 11 Grammys and took home five including “Best Rap Album" for his record To Pimp a Butterfly.
Broadway made a rare appearance at the Grammys with a blockbuster performance by the cast of the hit show Hamilton. The cast broadcasted their performance via satellite from New York’s Richard Rodgers Theater.

The show also won a Grammy for “Best Musical Theater Album” and creator Lin-Manuel Miranda rapped his acceptance speech.
“The cast: Unstoppable. Band is unbeatable, inevitable, always inspiring me to pull through,” he rapped. “Sebastian, daddy’s bringing a Grammy home for you.”
