A little girl in Alabama who became an internet celebrity after she wept in a video upon learning Obama will leave office next year got a response.
An Alabama girl recently gained internet fame after a video in which she cries when she learns President Obama will leave office next year went viral.
Now, the girl has gotten a response from the president himself.

"Tell her to dry her tears," Obama wrote in a comment on the video, which was posted by the girl's grandmother, Carpina Harris. "I'm not going anywhere. Once I leave the White House, I'll still be a citizen just like her
"And when she grows up, she can get involved right alongside me. In the meantime, I'll keep an eye out for her letter, and we'll always get to celebrate our birthdays together!"

In the video, Harris helps calms her granddaughter— who shares a birthday with Obama— by telling her she can write the president a letter.
Harris posted the video on February 15. It quickly went viral and, as of Monday, had been viewed nearly three million times.
