A hidden camera allegedly filmed Moriah Gonzales, 20, smothering the baby boy as he cried.
A nanny accused of trying to smother a baby boy pleaded not guilty Friday to one count of felony child abuse.
Moriah Gonzales, 20, was ordered to stay away from children under the age of 18 during her arraignment in a Northern California courtroom, the San Jose Mercury News reported.

Gonzales is accused of abusing a 13-month-old boy in her care based on nanny-cam footage, according to police.
The hidden camera in the child's bedroom showed the woman holding the baby and pacing with him as he cried, police said. The footage also shows her placing her hands near his face as his cries become muffled, Livermore Police Department Officer Taylor Burruss said in a report, according to the paper.
In the video, the baby squirms and kicks and soon goes limp, Burruss wrote.
Gonzales is seen flinging the toddler, face-up, over her shoulder, the officer said. She then places the boy in his crib and leaves the room, he wrote.

The sitter's attorney, William Du Bois, said outside court Friday that Gonzales has been "absolutely demolished" by the accusations. "This ruins her whole life," he said.
"She was just taking care of the child and putting him down. The child was not in any way mishandled or mistreated," he said.
Neither Gonzales nor Du Bois has seen the video, he said.
She was arrested Feb. 18 after the boy's mother reviewed the hidden camera's video from that day. The child survived the alleged abuse.
Gonzales is free on $100,000 bail.
