“What I saw is a very real, very powerful women with a lot of courage," juror Terry Applegate told INSIDE EDITION.
Applegate said the Dancing With The Stars co-host’s dramatic testimony about how her life was turned upside down by the nude video played a key part in their decision to award her $55 million on Monday.
“Her testimony was extremely powerful,” she said. “I hope the public thanks Erin for doing this. I certainly did.”
Andrews, a Fox Sports reporter, sued the Nashville Marriott at Vanderbilt University, where a stalker secretly recorded video of her naked through the peephole in her door. It took the jury just seven hours to reach a verdict.
The jury unanimously decided that the stalker, Michael Barrett, was 51 percent at fault while the hotel was 49 percent to blame. It means Barrett owes $28.25 million and the hotel owes $26.75 million.
As the verdict came down, Andrews broke down into tears. She immediately began hugging her legal team and her parents before several members of the jury approached her. Along with the hugs, one juror asked Andrews for an autograph.

A lawyer for the hotel spoke after the verdict but did not say whether or not they would appeal.
“Again we are disappointed with the result," the lawyer said. "We are going to look at the outcome at the proof, what occurred during the trial.”
Andrews took to Twitter and thanked all her supporters:
