Former O.J. Simpson prosecutor Marcia Clark blasts upcoming docu-series that claims the football star's son is the real killer.
Former O.J. Simpson prosecutor Marcia Clark is blasting a docuseries in development titled "Hard Evidence: O.J. is Innocent," calling it "very offensive" and "hideous."
Appearing Tuesday on the "Today" show, Clark said the controversial project "is nonsense, because there is no real logic, there's no evidence, there's nothing to back it up."

The series will be narrated by actor Martin Sheen, who will also serve as executive producer.
It is based on a book written by Texas private investigator William Dear. "O.J. Is Innocent and I Can Prove It," cited a new narrative for the 1994 murders of Nicole Brown and her friend, Ronald Goldman, claiming the real killer was Simpson's son, Jason, who is now 45 years old.
"Jason Simpson is the one they're saying is guilty, and he can't defend himself," Clark said. "What is he going to do? Say 'It's not me, it's my dad'? What a hideous thing for them to do. I can't even tell you how awful it is. And it's baseless."
The docuseries project comes as FX's hugely popular "The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story" delivers its last episode Tuesday night.
Clark said she applauds actress Sarah Paulson's portrayal of her during Simpson's criminal trial. She also said the series captured the sexism directed at her because of the way she dressed and her no-nonsense court demeanor.

She said Tuesday that comments from Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Lance Ito didn't help matters.
"He treated me like a second-class citizen. I was the one who got the roughest treatment," Clark said. "I had to work with the jury, that's who I need to impress. And I didn't think the jury really cared about the hair and makeup. I'm pretty sure of that even to this day. That was the problem."
