Police Shamima and Golam Rabbi dead alongside a note that read "Sorry, my first kill was clumsy."
A California couple was found shot dead in their home along with a chilling note, presumably written by their killer, police said Tuesday.
Shamima Rabbi, 57, and Golam Rabbi, 59, were both shot. Beside them, was a note that read “Sorry, my first kill was clumsy," KGO-TV reports.
Police have declined to comment on any note, investigators are looking for the couple's adult son who they say disappeared following the San Jose slayings.

“At this point in the investigation, we believe that this incident was not a random act of violence and the suspect(s) was someone familiar to the family,” San Jose police Sgt. Enrique Garcia said in a statement.
Investigators have talked to the couple's teenage son to locate his older brother, who is said to be in his early 20s, for questioning.
The missing son, who has not been named, is not considered a suspect at this time.
The Rabbi's emigrated to the United States decades ago and had reportedly become devoted members of their community and mosque.
According to a post on Facebook from the mosque, Evergreen Islamic Center - San Jose, funeral arrangements have been placed on hold because California law stipulates the bodies cannot be released by the coroner unless claimed by their closest adult relative -- who happens to be their missing son.

"Per the law, this situation will remain in effect until May 4th after which if the elder son is still not available then the coroner's office will release the bodies to the siblings of Mithu and Golam Rabbi," the mosque's statement read.
Meanwhile, San Jose police assured the community they are hard at work trying to crack this chilling case.
“Our homicide detectives are working diligently to try and conduct a thorough and complete investigation, so that we may bring closure to this horrible crime and provide answers," Garcia said.
