When Donald Trump tweeted a photo showing him eating a taco bowl on Cinco de Mayo, it wasn't just the caption that caught people's attention.

"Happy #CincoDeMayo! The best taco bowls are made in Trump Tower Grill. I love Hispanics!" the caption read, even though the holiday originated in Mexico, whose migrants Trump has repeatedly lambasted.

Eagle-eyed Twitter followers noted that the taco bowl was on top of an open magazine, which appeared to show Trump's ex-wife Marla Maples in a bikini.

The image, which was taken in 1985 when Maples won the Miss Hawaiian Tropic pageant, featured in People magazine two weeks ago in a story about their marriage.

The Twitter photo suggests that Trump was in the middle of looking at the magazine in his Trump Tower office before tucking into his lunch.

Hillary Clinton ridiculed the tweet on her own page.

During the appearance, he made no reference to the fallout with Speaker of the House Paul Ryan, who said on Thursday that he is not ready to endorse Trump.

"I'm just not ready to do that at this point," he told CNN. "I'm not there right now. And I hope to, though, and I want to. But I think what is required is that we unify the party. And I think the bulk of the burden on unifying the party will have to come from our presumptive nominee."

Trump later fired back: "I am not ready to support Speaker Ryan's agenda."
