Amber Heard is Granted a Restraining Order Against Johnny Depp After Showing Up to Court With Bruises

Amber Heard alleges that the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' star repeatedly assaulted her during their 15-month marriage.

Johnny Depp's soon-to-be ex-wife Amber Heard was granted a restraining order against him Friday after showing up to court with a bruised face.

The 30-year-old actress, who filed for divorce at the weekend, had claimed an "immediate threat of harm."

"During the entirety of our relationship, Johnny has been verbally and physically abusive to me," she alleged in her complaint. "He has a short fuse."

Depp, 52, has been ordered to stay away from her.

It came after she was photographed with a large bruise on her right eye. The photo was taken last Saturday night, shortly after Depp allegedly struck her in the face, according to a report.

A source told People magazine: "This was not an isolated event. This was only the latest incident."

According to People, the duo had a rocky start to their relationship. Heard reportedly had cold feet at their engagement party in March 2014, nearly a year before they tied the knot.

Heard has also come under fire for filing for divorce just three days after Depp’s mother died, but a source said: "Amber did what she had to do to take care of herself."
