Daytona Beach police found a note that said 'F*** The Police' beside a decoy cruiser.
Authorities in Florida found a police cruiser engulfed in flames over the weekend and say a note that referenced the Black Lives Matter movement was found nearby.
Daytona Beach PD said a so-called "ghost car" — a police cruiser used as a decoy to deter crime in the area — was found torched on the side of the road Sunday.
No one was injured and the fire was extinguished. However, a note found during the investigation pointed to an arson motivated by anti-police sentiment.
"Black Lives Matter. A. Sterling P. Castile, F*** The Police!!!" was scrawled in magic marker on a torn out sheet of notebook paper, police said in a statement.
It's unclear exactly where at the scene the note was found, but the message is amplified by the current tensions surrounding the recent controversial police killings of black men in Minnesota and Louisiana, as well as the ensuing murders of five police officers in Dallas and three in Baton Rouge.

As a suspected arson, police have handed the investigation over to Florida's State Fire Marshall. A spokesman for the fire marshall was unaware of any updates in the case as of Monday afternoon.
