The company behind the mesmerizing recipe videos that often pop up on social media have let Inside Edition behind the curtain to show how the wildly popular segments are made.

The videos, ranging from 30 to 90 seconds, have racked up millions of views on social media.
Spoon University, a site created by college students that targets millennials, present their videos as relaxing and basic. They make anyone feel they can be a chef in their very own home.
Spoon University's biggest hit was a video that teaches people how to make smiley fries. It has attracted more than 75 million views.
Max Bartick, director of video production at Spoon University, said: “Videos that people are really drawn to have to do with nostalgia. Our biggest ever was DIY smiley fries — that's our most viral video to date."
He added: "There's an emotional connection to that time when you're 7 years old.”

While the end result may look simple, the process is anything but. It takes an entire day for the folks at Spoon University to make an avocado burger and the popular smiley fries for a 30-second video.
Bartick said that while the videos are 30 seconds long, "you get to see the whole process completely. It is mesmerizing. It is soothing."
