Louisiana cops say Shane Paul Thomas stole a Mustang after walking away from transitional housing.
A Louisiana man is back in the slammer after cops say he escaped custody, posed for a photo with a convertible at a used car lot and then stole the vehicle.
The Lafayette Parish Sheriff's said Office Shane Paul Thomas walked away from transitional housing on Wednesday.

The 30-year-old strolled out of the minimum security complex just before midnight, Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office said in a news release.
Upon discovering that the inmate was missing, the sheriff's office conducted an extensive search was conducted for Thomas in the immediate and surrounding areas and issued a warrant for simple escape.
Then, on Thursday morning, Thomas allegedly visited Posh Pre-Owned in Lafayette, where staff said he took a photo with a white 2015 Mustang.
Cops say Thomas, who was wearing a "Posh" t-shirt in the photo, then drove away in the car.

On Thursday evening, Thomas was reportedly in the Mustang and still wearing the "Posh" shirt in the parking lot of a Dollar General store, where he was arrested by officers from the Rayne Police Department.
