The Florida family has been torn apart by the horrific tragedy, which left the boy dead.
A Florida toddler was killed this week when his mother accidentally backed up over him while behind the wheel of her SUV.
The horror unfolded Monday when the mother, whom police have not named, was leaving her driveway in North Miami.

The boy was pronounced dead at the scene.
The tragedy unfolded at about 6:30 p.m., according to WSVN. Police did not say whether they believed the boy had been playing behind the car or if he'd run out of the house.
Officials say there’s currently no indication of foul play, and no charges have been filed.

"Her son, who is 1 year old, was pronounced dead on the scene," said North Miami Police Cmdr. Rafael Estrugo. "We are here investigating, and we’re not just here investigating, but we are also providing support for the family who is going through a very rough and sad time at this moment."
