Amber Pasztor is in jail, accused of abducting and killing her two children, authorities said.
A mother who kidnapped her two children in Indiana told police she smothered them to death by pinching their noses and holding her hand over their mouths, according to court documents released Wednesday.
Amber Pasztor, 29, was arrested on suspicion of murder after she flagged down a cop in Elkhorn, and told him her two children were dead in a vehicle and that she was the subject of an Amber Alert.

Pasztor was scheduled to appear at a probable cause hearing Wednesday at the Elkhorn County Jail, where she has been held without bail since Monday.
According to an affidavit, Pasztor told investigators she kicked in the door of her parent's house and took two of her children. She made several stops as she drove for hours, including at a park and a restaurant, the document said, according to WANE-TV.
At one point, she covered their noses and faces until they died, and she demonstrated how she did it by placing her hands over her mouth and nose for detectives, the affidavit says.
She was briefly treated at a local hospital and returned to detention after giving a statement to investigators, Elkhart police Sgt. Chris Snyder told InsideEdition.com Wednesday. He did not know the details of her treatment, he said.
The bodies of her children, Liliana Hernandez, 7, and Rene Pasztor, 6, were found in the backseat “with no obvious signs of trauma,” Snyder said.
The mother lost custody of kids about 18 months ago because of substance abuse problems and threats against the children, her family said.
The boy and girl were abducted at about 6 a.m. Monday from their maternal grandparent's Fort Wayne home, where they lived, authorities said. She also has a third child, who was not kidnapped, authorities said.
“We thought she was crazy,” Leanne Pasztor told People magazine Wednesday. “I think her thought was is she can’t have them, nobody can.”
Liliana and Rene were afraid of their mother, the grandmother said. She described her daughter as “evil.”
The children were very happy living with her, she said. Liliana liked to color and loved her American Girl doll, the grandmother told the magazine. Rene was crazy about sports and loved baseball and riding his bike.
She fought for custody of her grandchildren, she said, and “walked through hell to get them.”
The Amber Alert was originally issued Monday for Pasztor and her neighbor, 65-year-old Frank Macomber, who had some kind of relationship with the mother, authorities said.
Pasztor had been driving his car when she grabbed her kids, police said.
But she was alone with her children’s bodies when she showed up at an Elkhorn police station about 5:30 p.m. Monday, some 70 miles from home, police said.
Information she provided to police led to the discovery of Macomber’s body Tuesday at about 1:40 a.m. in a wooded area in Allen County, authorities said. He had been shot to death.
Charges have yet to be filed in that case.

Formal murder charges against Pasztor are expected to be filed later this week in Elkhorn County for the deaths of her children, according to the prosecutor’s office. It is not clear whether she has an attorney.
Authorities said it appeared Macomber had been killed before the abduction occurred.
The children’s father, Rene Hernandez, was found dead six years ago in the woods of Whitley County, according to The Journal Gazette. His hands had been duct-taped behind his back, said Sheriff Marc Gatton.
Pasztor was pregnant at the time and interviewed twice, but the case went cold, he told the paper.
“I’m sure we’re going to be sending someone to try and speak with her,” Gatton said.
