Un Young Lee, 44, pleaded guilty to elder abuse causing death in the 2015 case of Young Ja Lee, who died in a house fire.
A California woman was sentenced to nine years in prison this week after pleading guilty to playing a role in the grisly death of her mother-in-law.
Prosecutors say Un Young Lee, 44, was arrested after firefighters responded to a blaze at the victim’s San Dimas home in March 2015.

Later that day, authorities received a tip that Lee may have been killed at the home, and that the woman who killed her was driving in the Tustin area, the Los Angeles Times reported at the time.
Lee was found later that day driving her SUV in Orange County. The remains of her 77-year-old mother-in-law, Young Ja Lee, were found inside the vehicle.
Prosecutors believe the elder Lee died sometime between March 23 and March 25.
She and her granddaughter had reportedly been involved in a years-long dispute over a property in San Dimas.
Un Young Lee entered her plea to one count each of elder abuse causing death and arson of inhabited dwelling.
She was immediately sentenced by Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Salvatore Sirna.
