He allegedly said he didn't want the child.
A college student in Pennsylvania allegedly poisoned his pregnant girlfriend in attempt to abort their baby, report said.
Theophilous Washington, 20, who attends Millersville University in rural Pennsylvania, was charged with criminal attempt to commit first-degree murder of an unborn child and reckless endangering.
"The charges are twisted and the intended result nothing short of horrifying," District Attorney Craig Stedman said in a statement Friday.
Washington’s girlfriend, who is reportedly two months pregnant, was at home on Friday when he allegedly offered her a drink of water from the fridge, according to reports.
The woman drank the water and began to feel burning in her throat, before vomiting and calling 911.
"Washington, the father of the child, admitted to putting bleach in the water bottle," prosecutors said. "He had stated previously that he did not want the female to have the child."
According to Fox News, the baby was unharmed.

Brian Hazlett, Millersville's vice president of student affairs and enrollment management, said, “'It is very disturbing to me personally because I consider our students to be our family. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victim and we're doing everything we can to make sure she is OK.”
Washington’s bail is $1million and he is set to appear in court on November.
