Trump lashed out at the actor and the cast following the remarks and demanded an apology, which the cast will apparently not provide.
Hamilton stage actor Brandon Victor Dixon says there's "nothing to apologize for" after the actor's comments to Vice President-elect Mike Pence following Friday’s performance.

“The producers, the creatives, and the cast ― we recognize that ‘Hamilton’ is an inherently American story told by a definition of the American community," Dixon, who portrays Aaron Burr in the Broadway smash, told CBS This Morning.
He added: “We are men, women of different colors, creeds and orientations. You know, the resonant nature of the show throughout the world, throughout the global community, demands we make statements when there are important issues facing us as a community. So we wanted to stand up and spread a message of love and unity considering all the emotional outpour since the election.”
On Friday, Pence was booed by some of the audience when he went to see Hamilton with his daughter and two of her cousins. At the curtain call, as Pence and his party were leaving, Dixon introduced the future veep to the audience and was met by a chorus of boos.
Dixon told the crowd to stop booing but encouraged them to take out their phones and record the message he wanted to send to Pence before he left.
The actor then pulled out a letter that said: “We sir, we are the diverse America who are alarmed and anxious that your new administration will not protect us, our planet, our children, our parents, or defend us and uphold our inalienable rights, sir. We truly hope that this show has inspired you to uphold our American values and to work on behalf of all of us."

On Saturday morning, Donald Trump lashed out at the cast of Hamilton on his favorite social media platform.

On Sunday, Pence alluded to Fox News he did not agree with Trump’s stance, saying: “I wasn't offended by what was said. I'll leave to others whether that was the appropriate venue to say it.”
He also called the hip-hop-inspired musical “an incredible production.”
