A plumber found a human fetus while working inside a Brooklyn home, making the grisly discovery after having difficulty unclogging a pipe, authorities said.
The maintenance worker was trying to snake a pipe when he opened up one of the duct’s elbows, discovering the remains among waste in the clogged line at a home on East 83rd Street near Flatlands Avenue in Canarsie at about 2 p.m. Tuesday, police said.

It was not immediately clear how long the fetus may have been in the pipe, but a law enforcement source told InsideEdition.com that it appeared to be approximately four months developed.
The city medical examiner’s office will determine the cause of death, cops said.
Police said a female was being questioned in regard to the incident.

A law enforcement source said the woman in question lived in one of the apartments on the property.
Attempts made by InsideEdition.com to reach the homeowners were unsuccessful.
