Grieving Husband Demands Harsher Sentence for 'Melrose' Star Who Killed His Wife: 'Justice Has Not Been Done'

Actress Amy Locane-Bovenizer will not return to prison for the fatal drunken driving crash that killed Helene Seeman.

A judge announced that a former Melrose Place actress won’t serve more jail time for a fatal 2010 DWI and triggered outrage from the widower of woman she killed.

Fred Seeman told the New Jersey judge Friday: “It wasn't an accident, it was a crime. They don't get it, they don't wanna get it, she doesn't wanna get it."

He added: “We're not here for vengeance, we're here to beseech you, to implore you, to request that you follow the law, your honor.”

His wife of 38 years, Helene, lost her life when actress Amy Locane-Bovenizer was drunk driving and crashed into their car.

Seeman told the judge: “I almost died twice at the hands of this person!”

Locane-Bovenizer was found guilty of vehicular homicide in 2013. She faced 10 years in prison, but was sentenced to just three years so she could care for her daughter, who suffers from Crohn’s Disease.

Seeman was back in court demanding a longer sentence, telling the judge: “I owe this to the memory of my wife. I owe this to prevent any other people from being killed by people who drink and drive!”

His son also asked for a tougher sentence, saying: “Her children are not victims. It strikes me as being very sad that they won't be with their mother, but that doesn't change the facts of the case.”

But their impassioned pleas did not sway the judge.

“There is no compelling or persuasive reason to return this defendant to prison,” the judge said.

Locane-Bovenizer, who was released after serving two-and-a-half years, smiled as she learned she would not have to return to prison.

Fred Seeman told Inside Edition, following the decision Friday: "This isn't gonna end here because justice has not been done. We are disappointed, dismayed, we're hurt, but we are not surprised."

Helene Seeman's family called the judge's decision "appalling" and said it was just one more punch in the gut to them.
