Madonna Confirms on Instagram That She Adopted Twin Girls From Malawi

She confirmed the adoption Wednesday.

The "Material Girl" just became a mom of six after adopting two more children from the African nation of Malawi.

Madonna, 58, confirmed the adoption on Instagram alongside a picture of her walking hand-in-hand with the 4-year-old twins, Stella and Esther.

Their biological mother reportedly died shortly after giving birth in 2012 due to C-section complications.

"I can officially confirm I have completed the process of adopting twin sisters from Malawi and am overjoyed that they are now part of our family," she wrote. "I am deeply grateful to all those in Malawi who helped make this possible."

Madonna, 58, and her lawyer appeared in court on Tuesday, along with the children, their father and their uncle, all of whom witnessed the adoption, according to People.com.

The pop star previously adopted two Malawian children, David, 11, and Mercy, 11, in 2010. She also has two biological children from previous relationships, son Rocco, 16, with Guy Ritchie and daughter Lourdes, 20, with Carlos Leon.
