Police say the man was beaten by the stranger who exited the bathroom at a Staten Island eatery.
A man was beaten at a Staten Island restaurant earlier this month by a patron furious at him for jiggling the bathroom door handle, cops say.
Authorities in Staten Island say a 60-year-old man was waiting to use the restroom at Max's Es-Ca restaurant in the New York City borough's Dongan Hills neighborhood on Feb. 11 at around 11 p.m.

After the man rattled the handle, cops say the occupant exited the bathroom and punched the victim in the body and head.
At that point, cops say a second assailant joined in on the assault.
The victim received care for lacerations and bruising to his face at an area hospital after the incident, according to the NYPD.
The NYPD is now seeking the public's assistance in identifying the two suspects they've described as white males in their 30s or 40s.
Police say the victim did not know his attackers.
