Donald Trump has stood firm on his belief that there is something wrong with President Obama's birth certificate. Now the Donald faces birther controversy himself as some say his own birth certificate is not official. INSIDE EDITION has the latest.
Donald Trump releases his birth certificate.
The potential presidential candidate, who's been sparking controversy questioning whether President Obama was really born in the United States, handed over a document to the conservative website newsmax.com.
Trump's birth certificate shows that Donald John Trump was born at 10:56 a.m. on Friday, June 14, 1946. It was issued at Jamaica Hospital in Queens, NY.
Trump called into Fox's Greta Van Susteren and bragged about making his birth certificate public: "Someone asked me today to see my birth certificate and I had it in my hands in less than an hour," he told her.
Trump ignited a heated war of words with Whoopi Goldberg on The View when he expressed support for the "birther" movement and he wasn't satisfied when INSIDE EDITION's Diane McInerney showed him a copy of President Obama's birth certificate released by the White House.
Trump said that it was not a birth certificate because it was not signed and there was no verification.
But the birth certificate Trump released is not an official New York State birth certificate. It is actually a document the hospital gave his mother.
Now, Trump is getting a taste of his own medicine.
"What is Donald Trump hiding?" joked one blogger.
"I demand proof that Trump's hair is his own, and American!" another mocked.
