Police in Kentucky say 6 people were injured after the truck driver's rampage on I-24 in Paducah.
A driver was arrested after a garbage truck barreled the wrong way down a Kentucky highway late last week, injuring at least 6.
Police on Friday said the trash truck was driving east in the west-bound lanes of Interstate 24 when it struck numerous vehicles before fleeing the scene. A short distance later, the truck crossed the median and continued east in the correct lanes, cops say.

All told, police say the truck hit – or caused to crash – seven passenger vehicles and one semi-truck. Besides the six injured, there were 19 others in the vehicles.
One of the injured had to be airlifted to a hospital. The others were taken in for treatment by ground transport. Police called some of the injuries potentially life-threatening.
As for the truck, a McCracken County Sheriff's deputy is being credited with bringing the pursuit to an end after successfully laying out a spike strip.
In a statement posted to Facebook, the sheriff's office said Capt. JT Coleman got out of his patrol car into the path of the 50,000-pound truck as it was "weaving from shoulder to shoulder running approx. 70mph."
Coleman threw the set of spike strips onto the roadway, hitting four tires on the right side of this truck.

The driver, Dalton Lampley, 23, of Calvert City, was charged with first-degree fleeing or evading police, and first-degree wanton endangerment of a police officer following his arrest.
Lampley also faces drug charges and a driving under the influence charge after cops say he was in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
