The 35-year-old athlete announced on Snapchat earlier in the week that she is 20 weeks pregnant. The baby's father is her fiance, Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian.
Williams shared photos from her babymoon with Ohanian on Instagram.
It was realized earlier this week that Williams was eight weeks pregnant when she won the Australian Open, defeating her sister Venus in the final round.
“[At] eight weeks pregnant, some women don’t even know they're pregnant,” Dr. Jennifer Ashton, an OBGYN and Chief Women's Health Correspondent for ABC News, told Inside Edition. “The fetus at that point is about the size of a large raspberry."
But Dr. Ashton added that Williams' latest tennis championship is all the more remarkable since she was most likely extremely drained due to the pregnancy.
"No question that pregnant women at eight weeks are exhausted," she said. "The fatigue is off the charts. Many women have had nausea and vomiting.”

Williams will be sitting out the rest of the season and is due in the fall. She is expected to be back on the court next year.
“When you are talking about a specimen like Serena Williams, if I were her doctor, I would have no doubt that she would not only be able to compete but will reign as champion again after she has this baby," Dr. Ashton said.
