An Indiana teen is about to receive her college degree before she even graduates from high school.

Raven Osbourne, 18, a senior at 21st Century Charter High School in Gary, has been taking college classes online through her local community college, and at Purdue University Northwest — all while attending high school full-time.
Now, she’s about to receive her college degree on May 5, despite not graduating high school until more than two weeks later.
“They think I’m lying,” Osbourne joked in an interview with CBS News.
Osbourne explained her high school curriculum requires its students to take some college classes to graduate. While some students graduate with a few college credits, and some earn associates degrees by the time they finish high school, Osbourne went the extra mile and got her full college degree.

Now, after saving thousands of dollars she would have spent toward college tuition for the next four years, Osbourne will return to her high school in the fall to teach, at a starting salary of $38,000.
