Oprah was surrounded by star power at the taping of her last show in Chicago and INSIDE EDITION has the details.
"I love you for making a difference in my life," Oprah's boyfriend Stedman Graham told the talk show queen at her Farewell Spectacular, making a rare public appearance. Graham's touching tribute was sealed with a kiss.
Only Oprah could inspire this much star-power. One after the other, big celebrities came on stage to surprise her. "We are trying to figure out how much can one person take," Jerry Seinfeld told the audience.
And the fanfare continued. Rosie O'Donnell belted out an original song. Maya Angelou read a poem written for the occasion, with Alicia Keys accompanying her on piano. But Oprah really broke down when Kristin Chenoweth sang as 400 young men filed into Chicago's United Center from Morehouse College. Because of Oprah's generosity, the boys' scholastic dreams became a reality.
For the finale, Usher took the stage. The exquisite event drew to a close with a moving performance by the Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin.
It was a fitting conclusion to a very special run. Although her show may be coming to an end, INSIDE EDITION will never forget its moments with Oprah.
