The bodies of Celisa Henning and her daughters, Makayla and Addison, were discovered Monday afternoon in the family home by the father, according to CBS News.
Police have not released a cause of death. Chief Brian Benton in a statement called the incident "very tragic."
The bodies of the 41-year-old mother and her two girls were reportedly discovered together in a bathroom.
A woman who lives across the street said she had just seen the twins a few days before and gave them a gift as they started their first day of kindergarten.
“I happened to come across an art pack of pencils that had strawberries on them, and I wrote them a little note to wish them a happy school year and hopefully they would become great artists and love drawing and the pencils would make them smile and come see me,” the neighbor, Adele Bryant, told reporters.
