April the giraffe’s son, Tajiri, has gotten the opportunity to meet his dad, Oliver, for the first time since his highly anticipated birth earlier this year.

The trio could be seen in a video posted to Facebook by Animal Adventure Park, enjoying intimate family time together and grooming each other.
“Our giraffe family shared space for the first time this morning and we are happy to announce a successful introduction,” the Harpursville, N.Y., zoo wrote on Facebook.
More than a million fans anticipated Tajiri’s birth earlier this year by watching his mom, April the giraffe, on livestream while in labor.
The baby was born in April and was given the name Tajiri after a nationwide vote.
Since giving birth, April has been involved in military reunions and even Make-a-Wish experiences.
