There was a frosty interaction between Kelly and Jane Fonda on Megyn Kelly Today Wednesday as the host asked the Hollywood icon about plastic surgery.
“You admit you had work done. I think it's to your credit. You look amazing. Have you... why did you say... I read you felt you're not proud to admit you had work done. Why not?" Kelly said.
The 79-year-old actress did not look pleased, and fired back: “We really want to talk about that now?”
Fonda was promoting her new film Our Souls at Night with co-star Robert Redford, 81.
As Kelly tried to salvage the interview, Fonda shifted it to a discussion of the movie while taking a dig at the host's questioning.
“Let me tell you why I love this movie that we did, Our Souls at Night, rather than plastic surgery,” she said.
The interview comes on the heels of Will & Grace actress Debra Messing's admission that she regrets going on Kelly’s show because of an awkward moment with an audience member earlier this week.
On Monday — Kelly's first show — she asked the Will & Grace fan, “Is it true that you became a lawyer and you became gay because of Will?"
