Some of the kids are on the middle school's very first soccer team, but are without the proper apparel.

Good Sports, an organization dedicated to providing sporting goods to those who need it, heard about the situation and stepped in.

“What we know [is that] kids who play do better; do better in life; do better in school," Good Sports CEO Melissa Harper told Inside Edition. "They do better socially. They make better decisions."

Good Sports was able to collect sponsorships totaling $7,000 in brand new soccer gear.

“That's the best part of my job — seeing the smile on the kids’ faces,” Harper said.

The kids went crazy when they saw the new gear, especially the co-ed teammates who rushed the stage to check out their new uniforms.

When the students took to the field for the first time in their brand new uniforms, they had a dream start, winning the match.

Principal Meredith Foote cheered on her students from the sidelines.

“They’re happy, feel good about themselves,” she told Inside Edition. “It is a huge confidence booster.”
