8-Year-Old Boy With Cerebral Palsy Dresses Up in Extravagant 'Wheel of Fortune' Costume for Halloween

He has been donning extravagant costumes since the age of one.

Two Illinois parents who dress up their wheelchair-bound 8-year-old son each year for Halloween went above and beyond this year in honor of one of their favorite shows.

Anthony Alfano has cerebral palsy, so his mother, Deanna Alfano, chooses costumes each year that can accommodate him.

This year, Anthony will dress up as the “Wheel of Fortune.”

“We watch it every night in our house with Anthony,” Alfano told InsideEdition.com. “He loves hearing the alphabet, but he has a love for most game shows.”

Alfano said she used a PVC board, LED lights and foam to make the wheel, along with wheels to transport the costume. The costume lights up in the dark, she said.

“Since he’s in the wheelchair, we look for things for sitting,” Alfano said.

Last year, Anthony dressed up as the Lincoln Memorial housed inside a snow globe in an elaborate costume that gained national attention.

The couple has been dressing Anthony for Halloween since he was 1, and although he is non-verbal, Alfano says it’s clear that he enjoys it.

“Once he’s in his costume he totally he laughs and smiles and definitely loves the attention,” said Alfano said.

Some of Anthony's other costumes have included Pinocchio, a horse jockey and a hockey goalie.

Alfano said most of the time it’s a task to get his costumes out the front door. The family takes Anthony trick-or-treating each year, and he also enters costume competitions.

“He’s an amazing kid and we get such a kick out of doing it for him,” Alfano previously told InsideEdition.com. “We almost do it as special thing for all the other kids too. It’s a chance to have other kids rally around him.”
