Ryan O'Neal and daughter Tatum have had an ongoing feud for decades, but now Ryan claims his daughter may be in part to blame for his love Farrah Fawcett getting cancer! INSIDE EDITION has the scoop.
Ryan O'Neal and his daughter, Tatum, have been battling for years, but their relationship just took a turn for the worse. Ryan has recently alleged that the stress of being around Tatum caused his longtime love, Farrah Fawcett, to develop the cancer that killed her.
On Piers Morgan Tonight, Ryan O'Neal said, "There was turmoil during my love affair with Farrah, a lot of it caused by my family, by my kids, all of them, but particularly Tatum. And I just think if she had never met us, would she still be alive today? Because nobody knows what causes cancer, do they?"
A shocked Piers Morgan said, "That's harsh, for Tatum to have to hear that would be very hard."
But Ryan was unmoved. "Sorry Tatum," he said, "but you probably know it, too."
After the latest incident in the decades-long father-daughter feud, Tatum took to Twitter to fire back: "I am having a hard time swallowing what my dad said. Wow." "My Dad is both the aggressor and the victim. You can't be both," she also said.
Last week, Tatum blasted her dad on Howard Stern's Sirius Radio Show. "He could've driven me to kill myself," she said. "I have [tried]."
Tatum also claims that Ryan abandoned her when he began dating Fawcett, a former Charlie's Angels star.
The war of words come as the two promote their new TV show, Ryan and Tatum, which chronicles their effort to repair their rocky relationship.
The show just premiered on Father's Day, but it's already enshrouded in drama.
Ryan and Tatum shows Andy Warhol's iconic portrait of Farrah on display over his bed in Malibu. The tribute is estimated to be worth a cool $30 million.
The problem? Farrah is said to have left her entire art collection, including that Warhol, to her alma mater– The University of Texas. According to RadarOnline, the university "hired a private investigator to search" for the painting. Now, they are reportedly "zeroing in on" Ryan.
Nevertheless, Ryan tells INSIDE EDITION, "All of Farrah's wishes expressed in her will have been fulfilled by the estate."
INSIDE EDITION has learned that Farrah had two identical portraits done by Andy Warhol, one of which was given to the University of Texas.
