Casey Anthony has been subpoenaed to testify in a civil suit filed by a woman with the same name as the nanny who Anthony claimed kidnapped her daughter in 2008. INSIDE EDITION has the details.
We're now learning that Casey Anthony has been subpoenaed to testify under oath for the first time about her daughter Caylee.
Just five hours after she was found not guilty of murder, and still in her jail cell, she was handed a subpoena ordering Casey Marie Anthony to appear on July 19, 2011 at 10 a.m. to give a sworn videotaped deposition in a civil defamation suit filed by Zenaida Gonzalez.
Gonzalez has the same name Casey Anthony gave police as the nanny who kidnapped Caylee. Anthony later admitted she was lying.
On HLN's Nancy Grace, Gonzalez said, "I just really want justice. I really want my name cleared. I really want for it to come out of her mouth."
Gonzalez's attorney John Morgan says his client "has had to live in hiding and her life has been turned upside down."
Casey Anthony will be freed from jail on July 13th and just six days later on July 19th the sworn deposition is scheduled to take place.
But Larry Seidlin, former judge in the Anna Nicole Smith case, doubts Casey Anthony, who didn't testify in her murder trial, will reveal anything, even under oath.
"I don't think Casey knows what the truth is. It's been proven during the trial that you can't rely on anything she says, and therefore whatever she says may not be the truth," said Seidlin.
Casey's parents, George and Cindy Anthony, have already given a tense testimony in the lawsuit which started three years ago.
The lawsuit against Casey Anthony brings to mind the successful civil suit that Ron Goldman's family brought against O.J. Simpson, which resulted in their winning much of his money.
Now Casey Anthony faces her own testimony under oath. Her legal problems aren't over yet.
"Her integrity will always be an issue," said Seidlin.
