Regis Philbin is saying farewell to Live with Regis and Kelly, but he tells INSIDE EDITION he's not slowing down!
Regis Philbin's departure from Live with Regis and Kelly is just days away.
"There are a lot of reasons why I'm not continuing, the main reason being that I've been there 28, 29 years in that same studio every morning and frankly it's time for Regis to move on," Regis explained.
He made the stunning announcement of his departure on live TV back in January.
"This will be my last year on this show," he said.
The television veteran has been hosting the show for the past 28 years and as part of the farewell, Live has been re-airing some of his most memorable moments!
"It's a lot of fun to see the old stuff and relive it again," said Regis.
But his wife Joy says, don't expect this TV legend to slow down!
"It's going to be a very exciting change for us," she said.
Regis said, "[I'm] not retiring, I've tried to explain that to people!"
