But today, 23-year-old Nikki Blonsky is sweeping the floor at of all places, a hair salon called Superstar.
Just last year Blonsky's full figure was on a billboard in Times Square. But her ABC series, Huge, was canceled after one season.
When she was cast in Hairspray, Blonsky was an unknown, working in a Coldstone Creamery on Long Island. Now, she's sweeping up just a few doors away and dreaming of another crack at stardom.
