The comparisons of Madonna and Lady Gaga haven’t stopped since Gaga burst onto the scene. Now the Queen of Pop is speaking out and she has one choice word for Lady Gaga. INSIDE EDITION has the scoop.
It's the question that's provoked a mini-battle between two of the world's most famous divas—Madonna and Lady Gaga.
The trouble started when Gaga released her hit single "Born This Way." Many noticed is sounds shockingly similar to Madonna's 1989 hit "Express Yourself."
When Madonna sat down with with ABC's Cynthia McFadden, she didn't sound too pleased with the song's similarities.
McFadden asked, "When you saw "Born This Way," did you think?"
"When I heard it on the radio. Yes, I did. I said, 'That sounds very familiar,' yes," said Madonna.
"And that doesn't feel annoying?" asked McFadden.
Madonna said, "It feels...reductive."
McFadden asked, "Is that good?"
"Look it up," replied Madonna.
And we did. It's an adjective that means: "Tending to present a subject or problem in a simplified form, especially one viewed as crude."
Yes, Madonna called Lady Gaga's song "simplified" and "crude." So, that's not so good.
