Demi Moore was hospitalized after a seizure reportedly caused by substance abuse and anorexia. INSIDE EDITION has the details.
Two months after she announced she was ending her marriage, Demi Moore is headed to rehab.
The star was rushed to Sherman Oaks hospital in Los Angeles after reportedly suffering a seizure, allegedly due to substance abuse. Now, Moore has decided to seek professional help.
"Because of the stresses in her life right now, Demi has chosen to seek professional assistance to treat her exhaustion and improve her overall health," her publicist told INSIDE EDITION.
INSIDE EDITION spotted daughter Rumor Willis outside the hospital smoking and clearly looking concerned for her mother.
The star's medical crisis began late Monday night when a friend called 9-1-1 from the Beverly Hills home Moore once shared with Ashton Kutcher.
Post break-up, friends have been concerned for her health. Moore has reportedly been partying hard and not eating enough, and has appeared frail on the red carpet.
Showbiz 4-1-1 columnist Roger Friedman, who just spoke to Demi last week, said, "She was very thin, and a ltitle wobbly, not really herself. And you know, she is usually a lot of fun and she was trying really hard, you can tell she was very depressed and unhappy."
Addiction expert Dr. Charles Sophy believes Moore could be suffering from severe anorexia.
Dr. Sophy tells INSIDE EDITION, "The shaking, the sezieurs, they are all possibilities of stress, lossing weight, maybe not eating and definitely not sleeping."
Moore may also be suffering from a broken heart. The actress told this month's Harper's Bazaar that she fears she'll never find love again.
"What scares me is that I'm going to find out at the end of my life that I'm really not lovable," Moore said.
Currently on vacation in Brazil, Ashton Kutcher, the star of Two and a Half Men, has not commented on Moore's medical drama.
Meanwhile, Moore's Hollywood friends are taking to Twitter to rally around her today.
"Sending my love and support to one of the most beautiful people I know," Eva Longoria tweeted.
