The X Factor makes some big changes, announcing Paula Abdul, Nicole Scherzinger, and Steve Jones are out. INSIDE EDITION has the scoop that shocked fans across the country.
There has been a big shake-up at The X Factor. Judges Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger are both out. Neither judge will be returning for the Fox reality show's second season in the fall.
That leaves Simon Cowell and record producer L.A. Reid as the only original members still sitting on the judging panel.
It's a shocking end for Abdul, who was personally recruited to the show by Simon Cowell. Abdul officially got the news of her firing today.
Also out is the much-critized host, Steve Jones who never really connected with the American audience.
Just yesterday, Simon Cowell expressed his doubts about Jones, telling London's Daily Mail: "I don't think he did a bad job but, like America's Got Talent, there is a Brit limit on the show."
Early this morning Jones took to Twitter, confirming the split, tweeting: "I won't be hosting next season's X Factor which is a shame but I can't complain as I've had a great time. Good luck to everyone on the show."
No word on who will replace Jones, Paula or Nicole.
