Dance Moms' Coach Under Fire

The reality show Dance Moms stirs up more controversy as cast members from Dancing with the Stars react to her controversial teaching style. INSIDE EDITION caught up with the woman in the center of it all.

Tough-as-nails Dance Moms coach Abby Lee Miller has waltzed right into a whole new firestorm over the controversial way she treats kids.

Now, the much-criticized reality T.V. star is being panned by some heavy hitters: Dancing with the Stars champions Derek Hough and Mark Ballas.

The Dancing with the Stars cast members spoke out after this week's episode of Dance Moms aired, showing particularly harsh treatment of the youngsters.

Hough tweeted, "This Dance mom show is straight-up abusive…I'm livid right now. I believe in discipline and a strong work ethic. But there is nothing productive about screaming and making little girls cry."

Ballas tweeted Miller's show is "Embarrassing. This teacher lady is crazy," he says. "Completely wrong attitude towards the kids."

Ballas also calls Miller an insulting name we can't repeat.

Dance Moms'
second season on Lifetime premiered last month to controversy and big ratings.

INSIDE EDITION recently asked Miller about the take-no-prisoners approach she uses at her dance school in Philadelphia.

"What do you say to people who say you're mean to these kids?" Megan Alexander asked.

"I go home and sleep at night. There's nothing I have ever said that I regret," Miller answered.

No word on whether she still feels that way after this latest criticism from Hough and Ballas.
