INSIDE EDITION got a tour inside the college apartment where President Obama lived that has been put on the rental market.
It's an apartment fit for a future president!
The third floor apartment in Upper Manhattan was once rented by none other than President Barack Obama. He lived there with a roommate in 1981 during his junior year at Columbia University. And now, it could be yours.
The apartment is up for rent. But the price has increased—a lot. Obama and his roommate paid $350 a month. Now, the owner is asking $2,400 a month for the 500-square-foot pad, which has two bedrooms and one bathroom.
Real estate agent Zak Kneider gave INSIDE EDITION a tour.
The president is believed to have slept in a 90-square-foot bedroom with large windows and hardwood floors.
And the future president was resourceful—a window doubled as a bookshelf. Inside the apartment, he was able to find the peace and quiet he needed for long nights of studying—something that clearly paid off.
