The Dance Seen Around The World

It's the dance craze sweeping the nation after a South Korean man became an international sensation. So why did some lifeguards get fired for doing the dance? INSIDE EDITION has the story.

It's the dance craze sweeping the nation. One couple did it at their wedding. Another guy did it on the streets of Chicago.

The University of Oregon dance team did it. Even some Los Angeles moms and their babies got into it.

Good Morning America took over New York's Times Square Wednesday, doing it on rooftops and even in the show's control room.

The dance is called "gangnam style," and it all started with a music video.

Incredibly, it has gotten over 151 million hits worlwide since it was first posted on YouTube in July.

The dancer's creator calls himself Psy, and he's a big star in South Korea. Now, the whole world knows him.

He stole the show at the VMA's earlier this week, and appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show where he showed Britney Spears how to dance "gangnam style."

Everybody's doing it. There's even a Jay Leno parody of Mitt Romney at the Republican Convention.

A flash mob did it at a department store in Pasadena, California.

But, not everyone is crazy about "gangnam style." Los Angeles lifeguards made a video and got fired. So who knows how long it will last.

Remember the Macarena?

But in the meantime, the world is having a lot of fun doing the latest dance sensation.
