The restaurant owned by Lady Gaga's father got slammed by some food critics, so INSIDE EDITION paid a visit to perform our own taste test.
Lady Gaga is embracing her new curves and she says she's piled on the pounds at her father's restaurant, "Joanne Trattoria" in Manhattan.
INSIDE EDITION's Les Trent got a tour from Gaga's dad, Joe Germanotta. The restaurant is his passion, where family pictures adorn the walls.
Trent sampled some of Gaga's favorite dishes with restaurant manager, Travis Jones.
"Thats pretty good," said Trent during the taste test.
But not everyone agrees. The restaurant just got panned in the New York Daily News.
"Gaga? Try gag gag!" said the review.
The reviewer gave it just one star. He called the Eggplant Parmesan, a "Gloppy flavorless mess!" The Calamari "Glowed with grease."
And the worst jab of all, he said the restaurant was, "The worst thing since herpes." Yup, he really wrote that.
"I thought it was comical," Germonatta said in response to the review.
Germanotta is laughing off the criticism. He says he's made major changes since the Daily News reviewer ate there, hiring a new chef and changing the menu.
So, how is the food now?
"Not bad. I totally disagree," said Trent.
Trent liked it but around here, there's only one critic whose opinion really matters, Lady Gaga. "She's the biggest critic. If it wasn't good she would tell me right away," said Germanotta.
And another big star is embracing her curvier figure today.
Christina Aguilera, who is noticably heavier of late says she has no intention of dropping the pounds. In fact she says she told executives at her music label, "You are working with a fat girl. Know it now and get over it." (Source: Billboard Magazine)
