Michael Lohan Speaks With INSIDE EDITION About Family Troubles

Michael Lohan spoke to INSIDE EDITION about that now infamous call his daughter Lindsay made after she got into a domestic dispute with her mother.

Lindsay Lohan is back in the public eye since her now infamous fight with her mom. The troubled actress seemed a little lost when INSIDE EDITION asked her about it Thursday night at an event in Beverly Hills.

INSIDE EDITION asked, "What do you have to say to your fans about what happened the other night?"

Lindsay's entourage was quick to respond, "We're not going to get into that, okay? We've already discussed it."

"See, I'm being talked to from every different angle. I don't know what to say," said Lindsay.

Meanwhile, Lindsay's father, Michael, is defending himself over allegations that he sold a tape of Lindsay’s fight with her mom, Dina.

"I’m not selling her out," said Michael.

He's being called the worst dad imaginable after releasing the recording that was made when a weeping Lindsay called him during the fight with Dina. Michael spoke with INSIDE EDITION's Diane McInerney.

McInerney asked, "What possessed you to release this conversation to the media?"

"Possessed is the wrong word, because I'm not possessed," said Michael.

"How could you sell out your daughter?" asked McInerney.

"I did not sell out my daughter," said Michael.

Michael Lohan released the tape to the website TMZ, but he denies getting paid despite reports to the contrary. McInerney pressed him on the issue.

McInerney asked, "Did they give you any money in exchange for that tape?"

"No, I just answered it three times. What kind of an interview is this?" said Michael.

Michael Lohan was at home in Florida when he got the frantic call from Lindsay who was in New York partying with her mom in the wee hours of the morning. Lindsay is heard on the recording claiming her mom was on cocaine. Dina can be heard telling Lindsay, "You're dead to me."

Now, Lindsay saysher mom does not do cocaine and seems to have patched things up. She denounced her father in a TMZ phone interview:

“I do not want anything to do with him. You just don't do this to your child, you don't," said Lindsay.

Michael said, "Her mother is making her do it to cover up all the heat she is getting.

Michael told us he now regrets releasing the tape.

"I’m sorry I did release the tape for the reason that it may have hurt her," said Michael.

But Michael Lohan should not expect a good reception.

When asked by a reporter, "What's your message for your dad?"

Lindsay simply said, "Don't call."
