TV legend Larry Hagman is remembered as thousands of fans mourn the loss of the man who put Southfork on the map. INSIDE EDITION reports.
Fans of Dallas flocked to Southfork Ranch to pay their respects to Larry Hagman, who died almost two weeks ago of throat cancer and Leukemia.
1,500 people toured the ranch outside Dallas, where many scenes for the TV series were shot.
Another private memorial was held at Hagman's favorite restaurant, Zengo, in Santa Monica, California.
Hagman's I Dream of Jeannie co-star, Barbara Eden, was there.
“It was wonderful and joyous and you felt like Larry was right there with you," she said.
A picture of Hagman hung in the elevator, to greet guests like Knots Landing star Joan Van Ark.
“It was a very special night with all the people who loved him," she said.
Hagman's granddaughters said, "We're remembering our grandpa."
Perhaps Hagman'sDallas co-star Sheree Wilson summed up Hagman's life best.
“He was the opposite of J.R. He was the kindest, most generous, most humble, most greatful human being on the planet, and I'm proud to call him my friend," Wilson said.
