LeBron James ran onto the court to hug the man who made a half-court basketball shot to win $75,000. INSIDE EDITION has the story.
A lucky guy made a once-in-a-lifetime shot at a Miami Heat basketball game.
Even superstar LeBron James was so overjoyed, he gave a giant bear hug and they fell to the floor celebrating because the guy just won $75,000!
Even the Miami Heat's game announcer was surprised, saying, "He probably enjoyed the hug from LeBron more than the money. Oh man!"
INSIDE EDITION'S Les Trent asked the man behind the shot, Michael Drysch, "You didn't expect this?
Drysch said, "No. It was the greatest thing in the world. This is priceless!"
50-year-old Miami computer technician Michael Drysch, won an on-line contest for the chance to launch a shot from half-court during the Heat-Detroit Pistons game.
So why did LeBron go nuts after the shot?
As it turns out, Michael not only won $75,000 for himself, but another $75,000 for LeBron's favorite charity, the Boys & Girls Club.
Michael says he practiced for his big moment, but could only hit the half-court shot once out of every 30 tries.
When we went to a basketball court to try it, he didn't hit a single shot.
But when it counted, even LeBron James called him Mr. Clutch.
