Three people are dead including one police officer as a massive manhunt is underway for a former LAPD officer suspected in the shooting rampage after he posted an eerie manifesto online. INSIDE EDITION is on the scene.
Christopher Dorner, a former Los Angeles police officer and U.S. Navy reservist, is on a killing spree, authorities say.
In a crazy manifesto that he posted online, the troubled 33-year-old trained sniper warns:
"I never had the opportunity to have a family of my own. I'm terminating yours. The violence will be high. Deadly consequences...where you work, live, eat, and sleep."
Sgt. Rudy Lopez told the press, "It's an extremely volatile situation. The suspect is armed and is dangerous and shows the propensity to shoot when confronted."
Cops say Dorner appears to see himself as The Terminator, targeting police.
According to police, Dorner's first victim was Cal-State Fullerton assistant basketball coach Monica Quan. She and her fiance, Keith Lawrence were gunned down Sunday in a parking lot outside their home in Irvine, California.
Monica Quan is the daughter of a retired Los Angeles police captain who Dorner reportedly blames for his dismissal from the force in 2009.
After a massive manhunt was launched, cops say Dorner fought two gun battles with police early Thursday. In Corona, an LAPD officer was wounded. Minutes later, Dorner allegedly ambushed another patrol in nearby Riverside.
Cops say he ambushed two police officers who were sitting in their squad car at a traffic light. He opened fire in a hail of bullets using an assault rifle, injuring one of the officers and killing the other.
Police are clearly on edge. Two pick-up trucks were riddled with bullets fired by police who mistook the vehicles for Dorner's. Three innocent people inside were wounded.
Dorner's 20-page manifesto is addressed to "The Nation," even giving shout-outs to celebrities like Charlie Sheen and Mia Farrow.
"I've lost everything," he writes. "This is a necessary evil."
